The town of Sapa, located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level in Lao Cai Province, is a popular tourist destination in the North West of Vietnam renown for it rugged mountains and beautiful valleys
The area, when explored by the French in the early 20th century, revealed many natural wonders, and is still beloved to this day for the beauty of its landscapes and the unique local cultures, as well as its pure, fresh air and gentle climate
The French are also responsible for the original planning and construction of Sapa as an ideal mountain resort station, this value remains intact today.
